I may be about to spring for an amp that's got a few fairly minor tolex scrapes/dings. I've thought about filling in the areas with some type of glue...then just going over it with a magic marker type of thing.Any suggestions,or advice???

I ended up using hot glue and it worked great. Held tight, cleaned off good and, of course, worked real fast. I would do a whole cab with it and you need to make sure the glue is good and hot and squeeze it quick so there isn't bumps, but for little divets, it works great. Shoe polish works pretty good on the edges, but go light unlike you want an uber-black amp.

I found some stuff that works great on black tolex to repair bare spots. It's acrylic paint that artists use i found mine at a craft store the color to get is "Mars Black" it dries to the same sheen as the surounding tolex and is cheap to boot.As for flaps i use super glue.

I use artist's acrylic as well and if you have a piece of scrap tolex, or something with a close pattern you can press it into the paint and the match will be almost invisible.
