Hi all, I've got a blues deluxe reissue amp that started to develop some hum coming through the speakers whenever I turn the volume past 2 on the amp. I have no idea what's causing it - just that it's loud when I'm not playing. Funnily enough, the hum decreases when I face myself (and guitar) a certain way or move to a different area of the room (sometimes). Is there some relationship? I swapped out the preamp tubes and still the hum is there. Could it be the power tubes? They're still glowing red though..

I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me - I sent it back to the shop I got it from but it seems that it's not been rectified yet. I'm sensing a lack of knowledge on the part of the shop's 'tech'.

Could be any tube or anything internal. Why even bother speculating? Demand a new amp if they can't fix that one in a week's time.

I wish I could. They don't appear very willing to do that, seeing as how the owner 'promised' that everything was fine. Urgh. Probably will send it down to an independent amp-tech. Thanks for the look-over though!
