Im not seriously technical but wondering if anyone out there knows how to mod the JSX footswitch so the CRUNCH/ULTRA footswitch could be split into two separate footswitches?

Can't happen. The switching is determined by the circuit design in the amp, not the footswitch.

You can switch the JSX with an external unit like the G-Major which can sometimes make the switching a little easier. You can program in all your effects and channel switching to be handled by stepping on one button.
