Any thoughts regarding the Eventide Timefactor delay pedal?

I would appreciate any comments regarding your hands-on experience.

P.S. I almost bought a Delayla XL...but having to set the delay with the tap button every time you turn it on would get old fast. I am looking for a quiet "dual-head" type delay and the Timefactor may work...albeit, it's overkill.

There are quite a few out in player's hands...but you are right, the likelihood of getting a first-hand perspective may be limited.

And on 5/31 they'll change it to 6/14. Then on 6/14 they'll change it to 6/31. etc. etc.

After having a ToneCzar EchoCzar on my board for about a year, I switched it out this weekend with my old standby, the DLS EchoTap. I used it playing live for about 900 people this morning, and while it was different, it was very good - plus "tap tempo" which I have missed. I was a happy camper.

Check out the DLS EchoTap - it is like having 2 delays in 1, and sounds GREAT!

My buddy just bought the Akai today from MF for $140.00. He's going to give me a report later.

I had the delayla...waaaay cool sound but I let it go due to the tap tempo being the only way to set the delays.

I'm waiting on a little more info from Pharaoh amps on the new echomega. It is going to have reverb and dual head cascading delays as an option too.

A couple of other "dual head" delays -

Korg 301dl Dynamic Echo - up to 1000 ms total delay, with up to 100 ms offset for the tapped delay. Tone controls, two presets, ducking, not plug and play, overlooked, underpriced.
Boss DD20 - currently most popular - dual delay setting.
Toadworks Redux - total 500 ms of delay with 100 ms offset, TB, $200.

The Replex is amazing.... very thick and warm with some nice natural "grit" to it.... but as you say, it is the size of a toaster.... hence it's the Replica that sits on my board.....

Can you use each delay-head separately as well as together?
