that or a hardware store, but for some reason i feel like a brass pipe from a hardware store will mess with my guitar
but it probally wouldnt

I have an 11/16" Craftsman long socket that's a nice heavy slide. I had to rework the surface where they now etch "11/16". It's similar to what Lowell George used, but they were made a little different back then.
In some situations, that's a great slide, with real good sustain, but I've been told that the old ones were better, which should show up in garage sales occasionally.

The one I use the most is made out of brass. It's by Duncan. I have to buff it once in a while to keep it shiny and slick. I used 0000 steelwool, or rubbing compound.
