Parade snare in a trap kit?

The Memorial day parade reminded me how huge marching drums sound. What would a parade snare sound like, with that long deep shell, in the context of a trap kit?

I used to play in a band with a guy who used a 12" deep marching snare in his kit. It sounded pretty monstrous!

if my memory serves me, The Legendary Appetite For Destruction snare was somewhere in the range of 10-12 inches deep. Grohl also used it on Nevermind. Go figure.
