has anyone used a Groove Tube Fat Finger for added sustain etc. and if so is it worth buying?

I've put one on my Ibanez 6 string (SR406) because it has a very small headstock, and I was curious to see what it would do. The result is subtle at best. If you can find one for less than the retail asking price (which I think was excessive for a glorified C-clamp), it might be something to experiment with.

I agree with ndsudma. Adding mass to the headstock will increase sustain, but you'll need a lot more than a fatfinger's worth to get big results. Before you sink money into something you might find useful, go to the hardware store and get a cheap c-clamp. Slap that puppy on your headstock andsee if theres a difference.

I got one, I got it off ebay for like $6, it is VERY subtle. Not sure if I noticed anything at all. Tried on my Bass and Strat, was like eh? It is sitting on my TV full of dust now. Forgot I had one untill I saw this thread, lol.

On my body heavy Parker Mojo Singlecut - it worked perfectly.
It balanced the guitar while I am sitting down - no more tipping down (remember body heavy) and the notes seems to sustain a little longer.

Subtle but noticeably subtle.

Bought one for my Parker Nitefly. To me the difference if there was one was not worth it.
