Apparently the Mini Plex MKII is up and rolling with London Power Scaling. Looks very interesting indeed! There is a nice sounding clip at the site as well. I would sure like to have one of these! :drool

I saw Ben`s post on the dealers emporium on this one.

Looks like a killer little amp!!!!! great to see builders incorperating the Power Scaling into their designs a bit more nowdays.

Didn't even see the post in the dealer's area.:jo Don't go over there very often. Looks like a great amp though!

This amp looks great! Its packed full of features and you could crank it up at any volume level due to the power scaling. I think that 12 watts is just about perfect for lower volume jams with moderate drummers.

Wow!!! Ben does it again....

I listened to that clip and I am hearing a little XTC 101B Blue channel mojo smoothness going on in that sound clip with of course some of that Fargen mojo going on as usual!!

Wow.

I want one. And it'll be forever before I can afford one. There's something about the Marshall clean that just sounds amazing to my ears....so marshall clean + marshall breakup + london power scaling....damn.

Huge Fargen fan here. All amp trading/purchasing has ceased since I acquired my OE. After playing it for a spell, I always turn off the amp saying to myself, "Man, I am so happy with my guitar sound!". High volume, medium volume, and low volume (yes, I can get great tones at bedroom volumes with this 50 Watter), this thing can freaking rock with an overdrive pedal. Love the grit, love the cleans, everything. This is one of those amps that flies way below the radar IMO. I've had mine for a year and this is it for me, the quest is over. Feels good to not lust for amps anymore. And if the amp wasn't enough, the designer himself, Ben Fargen is one fantastic guy. I've probably emailed him directly or PM'd from TGP five or six times in the last year regarding technical questions about my amp and have always received detailed, expert responses. In fact, my sense is that he doesn't respond to questions because he feels obliged to respond to customers--he responds because he loves to talk about amplification and share his knowledge! Very satisfied customer here.

When someone gets to play one, let us know how it compares to the old version. I actually didn't like the Mini Plexi that I had for a few weeks at all. I didn't think it sounded much like a Plexi at all. Maybe because it's single ended? I am hoping that this one does sound like a Plexi, though! Anyone know the price? I'd be willing to spend a good bit on a nice power scaling Plexi-ish amp... but not TOO much! :)
