I have the classic console strip, which I bought when it came out at $249; I'm actually quite surprised that the "upgrade" to the new version is $499.

That's one very expensive channel strip software thingy!

I have, and like, some of their other products as well. But a $499 upgrade for a single channel strip...it had better sound more than good.

I think this new plugin isn't like anything they've produced before. It's pretty outstanding as I see it.

But you're right - that price is a surprise. $1500 for TDM (although it's 20% off this month) is so high that it had better be one HELLuva plugin. At that price you can get an SSL Duende, which comfortably holds the slot as king of all software processors (eq and comp), imo.

I've just started playing with it, but man...it sounds more than good. It's got lots o' algorithms, with more to come. I still have to try it on more than this one test project, but I'm already looking into buying it.

And yeah, I have the Console Classic Strip, and get the "slightly nicer" price. ;) I'm just looking at it as an armload of compressors, EQs, etc in the same GUI, instead of a single plug-in...
