We have recently put out a line of awesome hand wired tube amps. These are brought to life in Lexington, KY.. They contain Mercury Magnetics Iron, Electro-Harmonix Tubes, Custom designed chassis, Kick out Back Panel (integrated amp stand), "LedBetter" Power light (Everlasting Indicator Light) and Custom made Leather Handle. These are 1x12, 2x12, or 2x10 combos employing Eminence speakers. The Shadow is 28 watts of pure American tone. The dB Special is 38 watts of blues rock tone with an edge. Last but not least is he Switch Master, 34 watts of ultra versitile channel switching bliss. These amps possess a deep and complex tonal character that are extremely sensitive to your picking dynamic. They respond to YOUR emotion. The Shadow 2x10 combo is currently on tour with Brad Rice, guitarist for Keith Urban. Visit us on our Web Site at www.burrissamps.com and check out our Pedals while there.

How would you compare it to the Shadow? My only concern is the Switch Master I'm getting doesn't have reverb.

The Shadow is a clean american voiced amp with a nice organic mid range that is excellent for riding the fence between a nice chimey clean tone when you lighten up the pick pressure and a soulfull lead tone when you really dig in. Very touch responsive. The dB special is made for those that like aggressive high gain rockin.Such as Southern rock, classic rock and approaching metal. The Switch Master has a higher fidelity clean channel with a very fast power supply. Which means it will retain a pleasant clean tone at a higher volume than either of the other 2 amps. The second channel is a pre amp recovery stage which is capable of being a pleasant boost over the clean channel for soloing and retaining a similar tone as the clean channel(but louder). Or you can reverse the gain structure and develope distorted tones ranging from right at the fence to thick driven sustaining lead tones.

Good, maybe you can get him to give me the amp he was supposed to build for me 2 years ago or refund my money. Either one would be great, really!

Yeah, I got a SwitchMaster a couple of months ago. It is seriously sweet! I got the double 12" speakers, although after carrying it to a couple of gigs I'm thinking now that the single 12" might have been a wiser move.

Just returned from Summer NAMM. Had a great show despite the low turnout.
We introduced some prototypes of our "Combo Top Box" Head with built in auto routing 8" speaker. It is a full featured head ready for your 4 or 8 ohm speaker stack. Or it can be used as a stand alone 30 pound combo for small venues or just playing with friends. When you plug your cabinet into the CTB it automatically disconnects the 8" Speaker. When you unplug your speaker cab from the CTB it puts the 8" speaker back in play. So you dont have to worry about playing without having a load connected. The heads contain the same circuits that are in our current line. We are currently editing the pics and videos from the show as fast as we can. Got some great video of Bill Lawrence Jammin on Burriss amps. And John Sebastion spent alot of time playing in our booth. Henry Diltz was there with John taking some photos.
Doyle Bramhall dropped by with his wife Barbara. He brought a writer with Vintage Guitar mag by to check out our Sound. He spent about 30 minutes or more poking around:+) All in all a great time!

Burriss Amps and Pedals are credited on the new Lee Rocker CD. Brophy Dale and Buzz Campbell ,of the band Lee Rocker, both use the Burriss Boostiest effects pedal. It has a high fidelity clean boost on one side and overdrive on the other. The effects can be used individually or together. For more info on the Boostier and Boostiest pedals check out our site www.burrissamps.com (http://www.thegearpage.net/board/www.burrissamps.com). Thanks.

I've been touring with a Burriss BTS-18C for over 2 years now, and, like a fine wine, it seems to only be getting better with age! I love it, tone for days, great chimey sound. Mine came from the custom days, but I think it would be a great model to bring back!
Props to burriss on great customer support, he was even quick to respond when I wanted to know what bulb to buy so that my "Burriss" logo would light up again!
You can hear my amp in action (I really don't think I did it justice) with my band at myspace.com/station313

There is no doubt I will dig it. Bob makes some of the most responsive and toneful amps on the market. The Royal Bluesman looks cool as hell. I also played a Shadow a few months back, one of the best American-sounding amps I have ever played. This will be my 4th Burriss amp.

Has your amp arrived yet? How is it?
I have been reading a tone of stuff regarding Burriss amps and spent some time with their sound clips and I must say they are impressive to say the least. What do you guys in the know think about the Boostier / Boostiest series pedals? What's the availability of them? They sound great.

Just returned from Summer NAMM and had a great time. We took our in house Photographer and videographer down with us this time. So we have 600 pictures and 4 hours of video to go through before we can post them. We are trying to get it done ASAP so we can share them with you. Met a few TGPers, always a pleasure. John Sebastian played in the booth on 3 occasions. And just a number of great folks dropped in to check out our wares. Audly Freed (Black Crows) dropped by. He was told about our gear by Brad Rice (Sunvolt and Keith Urban Band) and Greg Martin (Kentucky Headhunters). Seymour Duncan came by to see about getting his Royal Bluesman shipped when he returns home. And Bill Lawrence came by to see what all the hubub was about. All left with large smiles on there faces. Anyhow, keep an eye on http://www.burrissamps.com (http://www.burrissamps.com/) for photos and videos from Summer NAMM 08.
