Peavey MkIII Head Problem

Hi Everyone,
I was recently given a Peavey MKIII 400 head and cab and have a problem with it. Channel B works fine but Channel A is completely dead - I can plug into either channel A input or the mix input and nothing comes out from channel A. The mix input works for channel B. I have opened the amp up and had a basic check but I can't see anything obviously broken or damaged.

Can anyone suggest what might be wrong with the amp or what to check?

Do you have the footswitch? IIRC the footswitch jack isn't the typical 1/4" jack? You may need the FS to get the channel to work.

No, you definitely don't need the footswitch - except to turn the channels off. If you don't use/have one both channels should work.

Check the jack connections and the EQ switch for channel A.

If it's not that and you can't find it, PM me - I'm not far away and I've worked on a couple of these recently, so hopefully I can still remember enough to sort it fairly quickly.
