I have 2 questions regarding loading the THD. First after reading alot of threads there is a lot of love for the Heritage 1265 speakers. Has any Fuchs owners here used this combination in a THD or how about the Emi RWB'S? Or perhaps a combination of the 2? My amp is the 30 watt ODS Artist with SLX mod.

Also would I load with 16 Ohm speakers again or get 8 ohm versions to make an 8 ohm cab. I am only going to use the one cab. Do you thnk there would be any changes in tone or dynamics

Thanks

Dan

I don't own the THD cabinet but I have Jenkins 1 & 2X12, Fuchs 2X12 and others. I have tried the RWBs, EV 12L, EV SRO (white alnico), Fuchs FAT1 and the Heritage 12-65.

The RWBs sounded nice low but had cone-cry at volume, sold em.

The EV 12L is nice and clear.

The SRO is nice but seemed to lack presence compared to the 12L.

The FAT1 was a nice speaker, so nice in fact that I cranked it until it blew. :RoCkIn

IMO, the Heritage 12-65 is without a doubt the best sounding speaker I have found yet for the Fuchs/Dumble-style amp.

I have a Rivera K212 with two Fat 1s and it sounds great.

Hey Guys, I am currently using a Fuchs ODS50 & a Mesa/Boogie Mark II with a head switcher through a THD 2x12 cabinet. After long debt I just purchased a pair of Tone Tubbys, 1 Ceramic & 1 alnico. I plan to load the cabinet tomorrow night, so I will be back with a tone report. I am really looking foreward to this setup and I hope this will be the one that keeps me happy for years. :BEER

Check Steelbenders site. He plays his ODS50 through a stock THD cab. Sounded good to me.

I will add, when I purchased my ODS50, I also purchased my THD cabinet. I have logged enough hours to break in the speakers and the THD cabinet with the e/v speakers does sound really good, between both amps. :dude

Hey guys, last night I installed the the Tone Tubbys "1 alnico & 1 ceramic" and I am very happy with the sound of this setup. The Tubbys are very organic and purcussive sounding. I am very happy and I am looking forward to breaking the new speakers in:AOK
