Hurrah to the historical review currently underway. Can I play?

Never was I destined to be a jazz player, and though I certainly can listen with a great degree of pleasure (and envy), and have even tried my hand at it here or there, it's never taken off.

Anyway, this clip was done with two high school friends before we all parted way. We pooled our pennies and went into a studio in Pontiac Michigan for a to-DAT session: no multi-tracking could be afforded. The engineer did a pretty good job in my opinion. We walked away with an hour's worth of material and this was probably the most rockin' thing we did. It's not sophisticated, and at the time I didn't know the meaning of wanking, so that's what I did.

It was a single coil PRS and a Lee Jackson Ampeg, ala 1991. The delay was a then brand new studio-owned TC 22290 delay. I was 22.

Dig it man.....love the feel and the hook is real strong and everyone is playing great...guitar is screaming..... we should put these all in the same thread and call it the "way back Machine" (strange ending) cool yo

Thanks John and Chris. You guys are too cool. Thanks! Still waiting on the "album" I recorded this spring to be mixed. We'll see. Hopefully it's a bit tighter than this clip. Hopefully I'll be too busy to care! Haha! Ooops. Hana is crying. She likes guitar already. Screams--not in fear/pain/or anything negative--when solos get wild. Pretty cool!

Good use of occasional sour notes. Adds spice to the mix. I believe you bent one from flat into tune. I may have to work that one into my limited arsenal. Loved the sound of the room. Guitar was cooking, and the bass was funky cool.

Mixed bag! That's the truth. Not sure how intentional it is... but c'est la vie.
