Slightly different plate construction than any other BP's I own.Has Ultron Germany on it and ECC83 12AX7 in a square on the other side. Thoughts? Thanks Bob

I don't think it is truly German origin, but I can't be conclusive. Most black-plates are from America. I can't quite tell what's unique about that tube's innards - looks like very early RCA style plates that sort of bulge on the sides of your face-on view. But the number of holes is wrong - 4, instead of 2. The getter wire looks like Ken-Rad's horseshoe style, from what I can see.
You like it?
How 'bout a view of the top mica, getter wire, and print?

If you look at the sides of the plates there is actually two pieces of metal. One ends right at the bump near the bottom and top. I have not seen this in a BP before. The getter is hard to see at this angle . Its more of a rectangular shape. I'll try and get a pic of the top. Havent tried it yet. Bob

'50s Lorenz? Here's a '60s, from Tubemonger's great Library:

Hmmm. The plate construction is virtually identical and they are German. Might be an earlier offering. Good find! I forgot to peruse the TM library. Bob

Not a Telefunken rebrand?

Not a Telefunken rebrand?
Black-plate Telefunken? Now that'd be a $500 tube, if it ever existed.
