Deluxe Reverb with the Mullard GZ33

To my ears this is sweeter than the GZ34 (but ears can be decieving). Anyone here have this rect?

According to data sheets it is an indirectly heated rectifier with 5v heater.If you were to measure the B+ at pin 8 with it and then with the GZ34,then you would be able to determine why it sounds better to your ears.

However,it draws 3A heater current to the GZ34's 1.9A.I sure hope your power transformer can handle the current!

Yes, My trannie is an upgrade (by Dave Bose here in MI). I did some checking before I put it in. Nice sound, of course I have some wonderful preamp an a nice Mullard CV4024 PI
