View Full Version : Eventide TimeFactor in the house!
Sounds great! Almost too many options so there's a learning curve that's gonna be pretty steep for a while. I've only messed around with it for about an hour to get a good overview. The tape echo is excellent. The reverse delay is very cool and the looper seems to be easy to use with several options on how you want the overdubs to work. I'm actually reading the instructions with this pedal! Haven't set it up for stereo yet but will try that later today - maybe. It seems to handle a distorted guitar signal better than any delay I've ever had. Gotta get back to work for a while.

cool man. how does it compare sound quality wise to the DL4 and dd-20?
Never had any experience with those. I have an Ibanez AD99, a Boss DE200 rack, a Boss RC20XL, an XT Live and a Midiman 4. The Eventide of course is a big improvement in sounds and functions. I just gotta figure out how to run this thing so I'm comfortable with it. I think I'll read the whole manual and then work with it for a while.

I'm going to hold you to that!

Both! Or actually either. You can set it to be true bypass or set it to be buffered. There's even a third option that allows the delay "tail" to continue after switching the unit to bypass.

How warm is the tape echo? How is the modulation?

I'll post clips on Tuesday next week. Now I'm wishing I would have done second day air. I'll keep the repeats and mix high and play staccato so everyone can hear the quality of the repeats. I'll also do some a/b between bypass and engaged to see how it affects the tone.

I really have not even went into depth with mine and I've had it for a couple weeks. I basically live on the Tape Echo setting in the parallel loop of my amp.
