I turned on my 1987x at a gig at a new venue last night and the hiss was unusally loud, I plug in today and cant remember if this is normal, but when I tap the box the chassis is bolted into [head] I can hear tube rattle pretty loud, is this normal or do I have a microphonic tube or earth issue?
mind you the amp has to be about 1/3 of the way up before hearing this.
UPDATE** I now know that the bass channel isnt working!! what the hells going on with my amp!

Found it...
It was the output wire with the resistor on the end going to the first pre tube, it had come loose and snapped off as i touched it.:jo
why does my amp always break man!!1
At least theve been minor troubles so far.

update no/2.. ha ha, dont laugh.
The connection was loose but that wasnt the actual problem,
the Shuguang ecc83 in V1 was the culprit, it was intermittent on one side, replaced that and all is good, Im kinda pissed off because theyre good valves and Ive only got Sov's lying around!

So the resistor came off in your hand for no good reason?
