It doesn't seem like you bass guys have much use for 12" speakers anymore. Are they obsolete for some reason, or do they just not get as much press as the 10 and 15 do?

I love my 12's!! I went from a 410 to a G-B NeoX 212T and never looked back!! The cabinet is just full of rich, lush, and deep superlative tones.

Aguilar regularly uses 12's in the combos and cabs; everything I've heard from them sounds great!

I used to use a pair of ADA 2x12" cabs, used a Carvin 4x12" for a while, just picked up a Bag End S-12 to run with my S15X-D. I usually prefer 15" speakers (as long as they're quick enough on the transients). A 12" blends very nicely with a 15" in multi-cab setups.

Sez you! I run a coupla single 12 aguilar cabs and I love 'em. The accugroove tri 112 L is a winner, too. Lotsa folks (but not me) love the Bergantino single 12's. I see bassists using 2-12" cabs too.
