Hi guys, I have a 66 proreverb and cant seem to get my reverb and vibrato to full intensity. The reverb sounds weak and the vibrato has to be dimed to be effective. It isnt the tubes and all the leads are correct. I have had the amp a short period of time but the previous owner said he had no problems. There is a hum when the reverb is turned to higher settings. Any suggestions?

Are you getting any reverb at all? If not check the pan for a broken wire. Also substitute reverb driver and recovery tube. If you have a VOM you might check to see if the driver transformer has opened up. As far as the vibrato you may have to swap out the LDR (ROACH).

Has your amp had a cap job? Has the amp had the cathode bypass caps replaced? A shorted electrolytic cap will cause your effects to sound very weak.

Yes, the amp has been recapped. I really see not much change if any from 3 to 10. It does hum at higher settings. Thanks Slider
