Kinmans are too rich for my blood and the only others I know of are Fender Noiseless and the Duncan STK line. I'm looking for something with some twang but I suspect that Jimmy Page's Tele sounds are what I'm really looking for.

The only other ones I can think of is Area T Dimarzio's.

I've recently put a dimarzio vurtual vintage hot T in the bridge of my swampkaster T, and am liking it a lot. They also make a regular (non-hot) version. You can order them from samash.com, about $62.

I also recommend the Bill Lawrence 280 which I have in my American Series ash tele. It it totally noisless and sounds great, from very jazzy to full and bluesy with some overdrive.

I love the T-zone in my Tele Custom. When tapped it really nails the Tele tone, bt in humbucking it's a crunch machine. I have a set of Fender noiseless in a Strat (I'm sure the Tele ones are just as good) and they are dead quiet, and deliver the best twang and squawk of any of the Fender guitars I own. Best thing is, both Fender Noiseless and Tzone Tele pickups can be found used for cheap.

Here is a tune using the original prototypes for the Dimarzio Area Tele set.
These are just TOO much fun. The lack of hum also seems to allow the notes to bloom and enter harmonic feedback nirvana mode easier. IMHO
I am constantly hitting the selector switch in the demo

I also LOVE the Virtual Hot Tele bridge pickup
I go back and forth between the 2 bridge pups, both have fantastic voices. I switch pickups in my guitars all the time.

Another Bill Lawrence fan here! I have the L298TL, and it is a total beast. I use his Q Filter when I need to tame it. I'd love to try out the 290 some time, as well.
He is also coming out with a twin blade bridge pickup that seems really cool and will soon offer chrome covers on his Tele neck pickups if you want traditional looks.

+1 again for Bill Lawrence. Just make sure to get them from his website and not Stew Mac. Great pickups even without the cheaper price tag. I've got them in my strat and they SMOKE!!!! Totally noiseless, too. :0)
