I can't get over the wonderful Hall setting in this pedal.
Digiverb can't get close. Sorry.
My coveted Lexicon MPX100 is seriously challenged.
There is a clarity in this Line6 Hall sound.
Tell you the truth, it sounds like the Lexicon - With the blanket taken off.
With the tone at 3 or 4, time at 7. Very warm and beautiful.
Friz would like this.
A little disappointed in the worbling of the octo setting. Was hoping
for a solid, smooth, octo tone. Maybe an upgrade someday. New Module.
The Hall more than makes up for it.
What else is on this pedal? I just got stuck on the Hall.

I've been waiting to try a Lexicon reverb. If only it came in a pedal.
Its cool to hear the Verbzilla can keep up with a Lexicon.
Are you using a standard power supply (9volts) or did you get the Line 6 adaptor? or are you just using a battery? Thats the only thing thats held me off from getting one.

Find a used LXP-1... It will blow away any reverb pedal & cost same/less as well;)

I have the LXP 1 and sometimes I run it into the front of the amp, it is great. I have lexicons in my studio. I also have the verbzilla and not only is the hall great, I use the tile setting with the time about 10 o'clock and tone to taste- sounds great with the verb in my PR. The verbilla is a great pedal for the money.

The VerbZilla's Time knob has a monumental effect on the nature
of the Octo setting. Explore the entire range of that knob to alter
the sound of the shimmer and to achieve smoother, less (or more)
warbling, effects. It took me a while to dial mine in.

+1! I have an LXP-1... cannot believe the reverb that comes out of a half rack space!
I keep hearing good things about the Verbzilla. My friend has one... need to get him to come over for a test drive.

I have a Lexicon MPX100, this is what Friz uses and I dig it so much.
The LXP1 is used by Steve Kimock and his tone is to die for.
Super hard to find a decent one.
Lexicon SHOULD bring this back as a pedal. Come on Lexicon.
The big problem if it is a problem is setup. The MPX100 requires its own power supply.
Isn't part of my pedalboard, sits on my amp. Thats all ok because
it sounds very nice.
I still like the sound of the Hall on the Verbzilla. And it can get close to
my MPX100.
I can't say how it would a/b with the LXP1 cause I ain't got one,
you got mine :)
But the Verbzilla is very musical in its own right. And I was hesitant.
I remember the first reverbs from Line6. Real, reeal rough. Sucked.
They've come a long way.
I'd choose the 'zilla Hall over the TRex or Digiverb or EH
It's in the decay of the Hall. Set it for a long decay, turn that tone down
a bit and it starts sounding like the Lex. But then it can be brightened better
than the Lex. The Lex is soft, dark, warm.
Maybe they shouldn't be compared. But the thing is I never have found anything
to compare to my MPX100, until this Verbzilla Hall.
I'm not saying one is better than the other. I'm glad to have both.

Clifford-D... nice description and very accurate in terms of the LXP-1 and it's siblings. I will definitely have my buddy bring his over for an evaluation! Thanks for sharing!

Agreed, Soundclips are not the way to go for me.
Me, I take the pedal home and check it out
on my rig.
I have returned many, many pedals after a test run.
Pissed off a few stores or they pissed me off.
They love me most the time.
Use the return policy. Tell them up front you need to check it out
at home.
Sound clips are good to give you a rough idea what it sounds like
not to be trusted.
Not everyone that hears Scott Lerner playing the Zendrive
is going to sound like that. HAHAHAHA. No way. I know a few people
that own a Zendrive and none sound like Scott, or Robben.
But they heard the soundclip. Sold.

I have to say, I also prefer a pedal that can be placed on a pedalboard.
I have no other rack stuff other than the Lex.
The 'zilla allows me to be streamlined and I like that.
Convenience gets a few points.

Yeah - I use it now instead of t he Princetons Reverb, and the Echopark into it is really all you need most of the time.... love the stereo in/outs in pedals....
really nice to put a light panner infront of the verbzilla too ~ like the line 6 trem...
