G&K Bass Rig Trouble - Help ???

Hello: The bass player in our classic rock band has a nice G&K bass rig. The problem is that when he turns it up past 3, the top 4x10 cabinet speakers crackle, pop, and look like they're ready to jump out of the box. Lots of noises. Can you help us out? Below is his rig:

Head: G&K RBH 1001
Top Cabinet: G&K 4x10 RB
Bottom Cab: G&K 1x15

First- does it have a preamp and master control (or seperate channels and master)?

Check that- make sure you're controlling the overall volume with the master.

Make sure you don't have the bi-amp engaged, and are just running like the bottom end to that cab and pushing that cab too hard.
