That's a cool piece.

I know BC Rich does them. In fact, they have an import Bich that is very nice.

I had one of the original USA Biches in a 10 string version in the early 80's. Great guitar.

I file that one under "Another one I wish I never got rid of"

Don't the Rich's have the lower strings doubled? That would make more sense to me.

No, they are like a 12 string with the octaves for the A and low E removed.

By the way, that setup sounds brutal in a drop D or drop D 1/2 step down through a cranked high gain amp. When I had a '79 Bich 10-string I used to do session work with it for rhythms and it sounded somewhere on the bigger side of huge. The Bich had a DiMarzio Super Distortion (of course from back in the day) with a preamp that ran on TWO 9v batteries. Maple neck through Koa body wings...just a ridiculously good sounding guitar.

Framus put out 9 string guitars in the 1960s, BC Rich might be the first production guitar with 10 stings.

I think Neal Moser, who originally designed the 10-string Bich, has started building vintage Koa topped 10-string Biches again

Yea, saw a couple at NAMM. Stunning work. I'd take a Moser over a Jackson any day.
