Hi all, just a quick recommendation of the GST: it's a small proggie designed to increase your playing speed without sacrificing clarity of the notes played through drills and structures exercises subdivided into folowing categories: single/double speed, chromatic, scale, pattern, random and burst.

First thing it made me 'see' is that my playing hand is ahead of my picking hand. No wonder that whenever things get speedy I tend to hammer through the passages/scales rather than pick them one-by-one. The software shows little graphical representations of the speed tempos and in my case the two hands display a clear case of discord. It allows me to practice various parts of the drills and keeps track of my progress.

Give it a try if you are a beginner or wanna-be intermediate like me.

Cheers

How's it measure your ability to play dynamics or your ability to groove just slightly behind the beat? Does it tell you if the lines you're playing are cool or not? ;)

Probably just works on evenness.

But the idea of measuring right and left hand speed/accuracy is pretty
interesting.
Your stereoscopic sence of evenness is all you really need.
But it may open someones awareness up to a bigger playing field so
that's a good thing.

Downloaded the full version and you can set up your own practice patterns. Looks to be pretty versatile and helpful.
