So I have a Marshall JVM 1/2 stack. Thinking of PB100 but am not sure if they do what they say or could potentially cause damage
anyone use one of these? Are they worth buying?
I can get a PB100 from a guy for 175 but not sure its worth the trouble
also I have a second cab lying around....would haveing two 4x12 cabs create the type of load
the PB100 does?

https://taweber.powweb.com/weber/masslite.htm...$160, Like it better than the Powerbrake, 100w, and you can run 2 cabs no problem.....

There is an impedance switch on the powerbrake and 2 speaker jacks, as long as you are using 2 16ohm cabs you should be fine. EDIT - Reread your post you are not currently using 2 cabs.
I used a PB on cranked 100w Superlead for years and years and never had a single issue.

I just bought the Koch LoadBox II. IMHO it's the most transparent attenuator out there. I own 4 other popular attenuators and they don't compare.
The KOCH is twice the price but well worth it... IMHO

THat said, if you are looking reduce volume, maybe you should drop down to 1 4x12?
That won't help.
The Power Brake should be fine, but I prefer Weber's products too.

yeah actually it does have a great low volume sound(2 master volumes help)....but it sounds better cranked too
so with these attenuators....you can run one cable out of the 16ohn jack on the head into the attenuator....and then two cables out of the attenuator one to each cab?

Wstsidela, have you tried the Groove Tubes SE11? I use 2 of these and am interested in other's opinions on these. Of the units I've tried, I liked them best by far. Cost most too. Thanks

I think it's over a grand now. Maybe that's why their not so popular. This is the unit that Palmer copied and was sued to stop producing them.
I'm bummed that no one here responded to my post soliciting opinion.
