Don't know if this is posted yet, but the creator/builder posted this the other day.

"a 17-time Grammy winner just got his Axe-Fx Ultra and is "blown away". He's already ordered a backup."

He later received permission to use his name & posted it was Pat Metheny.

Pretty cool! Fractal doesn't "give" their product away. If an artist wants one, they have to buy it just like everyone else. Partially why there haven't been big name endorsements for so long. Glad Pat Metheny went for it. Sounds like he wasn't disappointed with his purchase :AOK

well i believe that pat has been using a digitech 2101 for many years so this should be a HUGE improvement in tone.

Interesting news. I like Pats tone better on his earlier stuff. I have a ton of PM cd's. It will be great to hear what he can come up with using an Axe-FX. Hey! I wonder if I get one if it will complete me as a player and I will suddenly be able to play like the players I so admire............................................ .........nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh guesss it is back to the wood shed for me.

Out,

Jeff

I saw Pat Metheny play earlier this summer and thought his tone was pretty bad. Great playing but really bad tone. I have no doubt it will improve now with the Axe-Fx and I haven't even heard one.
