Is there anyone who makes a high quality 9V AC 2000ma power supply ? I was totally surprised at the difference the power supply made on the tone of different pedals. If I can find a "boutique" power supply I think I can improve the sound of my effects. AnY ideas ?

I'd be totally surprised too. I haven't noticed any difference at all. None of mine hum or hiss with my wallwarts. 9Vdc at 2A is profoundly more power than you'll need to power a dozen 9V pedals. Many of the hi-fi moving coil guys use battery powered preamplifiers. I guess this is one option you could explore. I'm thinking 6 or 12 D cell batteries powering your rig.

I built my own for cheap. Check out my page I did on it and pedalboards too. (http://www.regiscoyne.com/tech/pedalboards/)

Nice, DrX! Couldn't have done it better myself. Your collection of pedals closely resembles mine. :)

I use the "1 Spot." No hum and 1700ma max(stamped on mine.)

I had one spot for a year or so, and it developed a bad hum. That's when I built my own supply.
