My 2550 head seems to have an effects loop problem. When I use the loop my volume decreases a ton. The sound gets a bit muddy and the volume drop is crazy. I have tried contact cleaner on the jacks and new cables…..any thoughts.
PS. I’m running the following pedals in my loop in this order:
Out--DOD Digi-Delay--Boss EQ—Boss Chorus—Boss Flanger-Boss TU2—In
Thanks

First: try plugging a known, good instrument cable from Send to Return. This should sound exactly the same as with nothing in the loop (it actually IS exactly the same except the connection is made inside the Return jack instead of through the instrument cable). If that works then there is something wrong with the pedals or cables you are using in the loop...or you are connecting them incorrectly or something. But it's not the amp if using a cable from Send to Return sounds the same as nothing in the loop.
If that's not it, you could try plugging an instrument cable from the Jubilee Send to the input of another amp. Plug your guitar into the Jubilee and play (make sure you have speakers connected to both amps!), using the second amp to adjust your volume. If that sounds OK then you know the Send is good.
You can also plug your guitar straight into the Return jack and you should get some sound...the tone might suck but if it's a 'clean' signal then that would indicate that the Return jack is probably OK.
