Anyone know how the front grill comes out of a 79 SF twin? The bolts for mounting the speakers are set from the front though the baffle board and I would like to remove a few so I can try some different speakers. I pried on it a little and thought I heard velcro but couldn't be sure.
Thanks...........

Usually Velcro, it can be pretty tough to get off sometimes, use care and patience.

I actually had a 78 or 79 Silver Face Twin (bought it new) I also remember it having Velcro.
Loudest amp I ever owned (louder than the 50 watt Marshall JCM 800 half stack I switched to), the Twin was sterile as hell too - no hiding behind that sucker.

Yup, it's pretty loud. There's something magical about the sound of single coils through it. I put some old RCA 7025's in it, a Mullard CV4024 in the phase inverter and pulled the V1 tube and it spanks.:Spank
I want to try some different speakers. Wish I had a pair of JBL's
