Anyone have any info on doing a pro job on cutting tolex corners? Use a x-acto knife or razor blade? I'm going to be using corners so it doesn't have to be a 100% flawless job under the corner but the rest of the frame that is exposed needs to be.

I remember seeing an article someone wrote up on some forum that was pretty helpful, which I can't locate.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

For outside corners I slice it diagonally and fold the pieces over then slice again along the 45 degree angle. Then I lift up the flaps, take out the now loose pieces and fold and press till set. It's harder to describe than to actually do it. I advise practicing on some thick paper first so you get the hang of it.

Insidecorners are another animal altogether - that one you'll just have to look at amps and gues what they did.

Beat you to it! Thank you though. I was practicing tonight for about an hour with construction paper. I tried a lot of methods which failed until I tried exactly what you described. Worked real good. I can't wait to work with tolex as it's a lot different animal then paper!
