Bonenut

I'm hoping someone can help isolate a problem I'm having with an otherwise healthy Deluxe Reverb. When sounding a "B" note on either the low E or A strings it's very boomy, almost like the note is feeding back on itself even at very low volume and is much louder than any other note. The circuit is stock with the exception of the feedback resistor reduced to 1500ohms, a 25k midrage pot has been added, cathodes of V4 seperated with dual 20uf/1500ohm cap/resistor arrangement, and the cathodes of V1/V2 separated with with dual 15uf/1500ohm cap/resistors. The problem is on both channels and does it even with the bass on 0. Different guitars, tubes and speakers have the same effect. Filter caps are good and the amp sounds great otherwise. Could messing with the tone stack or changing the feedback resistor back to stock 820ohm be the place to start looking at?
