Well, trying to get better at this whole home recording thing. Here's a bit of Lenny with a 51 Nocaster through a Mark IV's clean channel. I think it came out pretty well :)

Finally found the single coil tone of my dreams!

Ignore the slop, took this in one take :)

Check out the chords he's using.. I don't hear you hitting the whole chord, especially in the beginning.

If you're going for his tone, you'll want to think of black face fender w/reverb. I personally use Pure 64 amps for playing his tunes. Works well for me. Here's a clip:

Warren,

Sounds great. Which pickups are you using in that clip. Are they the fralins? If so, which model? I am looking to put single coils back in my strat and am really giong for that Lenny/Riveria Paradise type tone.

Thanks,

~Mike

Hmmmm good question. I have to remember what guitar I used for that!! I believe it was either my sparkle finish strat or my powder blue relic. The sparkle strat has the Callaham custom wound Fralin pickups. The blue relic has a set from this TGPer: http://handwounds.com/

Both sound great.
