Thanks so much Loren.
I always forget to post what was used! :crazy
For the Clean clip I used an Earcandy buzzbomp 2x12 Cab loaded with Boogie MC90 speakers and a Tom Anderson Drop top guitar.
The 1st tune was recorded with that same cab but the lead was recorded using a Marshall 4x12 cab with g12h30 re-issue speakers.
The 2nd full tune was all the Marshall cab with the g12h30's
I used a GMW superstrat for both of the tunes with drums.
all the best!!

Thanks a ton Ralphie.....
I wish more builders would wise up to merits of getting really great players to do their sound clips. Too often I've heard an amp I thought had potential and then went to listen to the clips later only to find them poorly recorded and poorly played. No one is going to buy the amp if it just sounds bad due to poor technique.

Very inspiring clips. What echo/delay are you using? Could you detail your recording set-up? Thanks for inspiring me to be able to reord clips like yours. Thank you for posting.

Thanks so much Plexible!!
As far as echo and delay, Im using plug-ins on my PC. All of the tunes were recorded dry with the effects added later. Believe it or not, Im still learning how to record and I was actually learning as I was recording!!
That said, My recording setup is PC based. I have a p4 3.0 ghz machine and I'm running SONAR 5 as my main recording software. I live in a condo so all of my clips are recorded at low volumes. I have my PC in my bedroom and my amps out in the livingroom. I mic up the amp in the livingroom with a shure sm57 and I run that into my Soundcard in my bedroom and into my PC.
I'm using Lexicon Pantheon for the verbs and a program called sonitus for the delays( both come stock with SONAR)
There are way better programs out there but Sonar is pretty easy to use.
Thats pretty much the basic stuff that I use along with a drum program called EZ drummer and a sequencing programm called fruityloops.
Please feel free to ask me if you should have any questions. I kind of kept this short as to not babble on to much!! lol :D

Ralph Thanks for the breakdown. I think it was the reverb on your solos that really got me. Your solos sounded spacious. I'm a newbie to digital recording so I may have some questions for you going forward. Thanks Ralph.

I was quite interested on this amp, but iīve just taken a look at the fuchs site and the frost does not appear on the products list. Anywone knows if itīs discontinued or something?

Ralph, awesome, as usual. The gain sounds fantastic, but I have to say I was surprised how good a clean tone you got there ...

It's now the Viper. Same amp, different name, I'm pretty sure.

It is now the Viper, with enough changes to avoid legal issues due to the name endorsement. I just picked up my Frost 100, and had a change to compare it to a JCM 800 Voodoo Amp Mod. Heh heh heh. It Fuched it up!

The Viper replaced the Frost, when our endorsement agreement ended. There were a few minor internal tweaks made, the most prominent added feature being the front panel "Thrust" control, which is like a resonance pot, in the feedback loop of the power amp. Really chunks up the low end. The 100-W Viper ships with 6550's and can use EL-34's, and is now made in a 50-W version too. We do conversions from Frosts to Vipers as well, should someone want that done.
Thanks for the kind words guys.

The playing is so damn scary, I feel like quitting. The tone is so damn good, I feel like selling all my amps. Honestly, I'd rather listen to this incredibly soulful, tasty, chops-laden playing than anything Yngwie and his clones ever did.
