look into the Carvin Legacy. great amp with EL34s or it can use 6L6s. used prices are pretty good, and even new they are a great deal.
It has that thick style gain like the Rockerverb 100 imo.

the bad cat hot cat 30r has a loop. i only tried one pedal in it but i didnt like it. didnt really sit too long to try it out. shares some similarity to the orange. might be worth a try. maybe others can share their experiences with the loop more.

Rivera K-55 Knucklehead !!!!! Very very good head. It's small light(maybe 25lbs + or -) and when pushed hard on Channel 1 it will tear you head off!!! Channel 2 is brillant Fender cleans and OD tones !!!! It has a buffered Effects loop that IMHO is 1 of the best out there. They aren't offered new anymore, but used I wouldn't sweat...I've been gig'n mine which is a 96 for 2 years straight without a single problem. They are built like tanks !!!

thanks, but i'm looking for a smaller amp, less than 30W, with minimum control knobs. plug and play amp - like the orange TT and Rocker30 - the problem is that they don't have effects loop, and i got to add delay...
other suggestions?

too much trouble... besides i can't find the reason to buy new amp and modify it, instead of buying what you realy need.
thanks.

you are right! - its a great amp, i had to choose the rocker30 or the rockerverb50. i finally ordered the rockerverb because of the sparkling amazing clean, the reverb, and the effects loop. the overdrive is amazing too, but the roars of the rocker30 were out of this world...
if it only had effects loop...

I just think that British-sounding tubes (EL 34's and 84's),sound better than American (6L6,6v6).

I think it depends on type of music you play.
6L6 and 6V6 - is for clean/light overdrive - clapton/stevie ray...
El34 - is for hard rock/metal stuff - deep purple/gary moore... - IMO.

You might want to check out a used Koch Twintone.

thanks, but its 50W and too much knobs :(...
all i need is a small head, no more than 30W, EL34 based, Vol-tone-gain (or something like that...), and effects loop. that's all :).

My suggestion as well!!!
Buddy of mine has got the SD30 and it rocks!
And,
Actually the SD18 is a good choice if you have volume constraints.
The SD30 is pretty darn loud,
But,
Then again the SD18 screams too.
I actually, prefer the Buddas over the Oranges.

I forgot the Rocker 30 was EL34 loaded. :jo
One builder that came to mind was Roccaforte.
He's got a few dual EL34 loaded amps under 50-watts:
Denelle 45R
Custom 40
DRRS I'm sure he can do a fx loop on any of them.
