???
What do you like or dislike about the clyde?
I like the Teese Picture wah better - wider sweep, more vocal and stronger sounding.

clyde deluxe w/ foxrox buffer (so you can go wah into fuzz w/ no squealing!)

It all depends on what you consider better.
Some other wahs in the Fulltone price range to consider include Area 51, Teese and Budda.

2 of them...
seriously, I've owned them, and the Teese picture wah, and the Budda, as well as the Pedalworx modded Vox, and here are a few thoughts:
To start: They are all great wahs in the right application. This is a matter of "different but just as good".
I find that the Teese Picture wah is the most thick-sounding and pronounced, with a very powerful, vocal sweep with a vintage vibe. Perhaps less versatile than the Fulltone, but what it does, it does extremely well. One's on my board now. Insanely good working with the right OD and fuzz pedals. Most pronounced "vomit" sound.
The Fulltone is more modern sounding, has a wider sweet spot, and works in perhaps more contexts, and different styles. You can work the wah to give you all kinds of tones, but they aren't as thick as the Teese. Versatile wah, great sound. Very high fidelity, but also very musical. If I needed one wah to gig with, this would be the one.
The Budda is a brighter wah, and to my ears sounds best with a higher gain amp. My first choice for recording with something like a Mesa.
Finally, the Pedalworx modded Vox. This wah sounds so much like my original '67 Vox that it's scary. Not as thick as the Teese, with a shorter sweet spot sweep, it's very authentic. You can also get a little more quack out of it than the Teese. Definitely a wah to check out. More of a Hendrix vibe than the other wahs, even the Teese.

I think it really depends on personal taste.
I can't stand the sound of either of the Fulltone wahs. I mean can't stand them. But I know a lot of people love 'em. It really depends on what sound you need.

Had virtually every wah there is and always end-up only using the Budda, my search for my perfect wah is over

well, I got a Budda wah recently.
I DO like the tones form this wah quite a lot!
My only gripe is that it is fairly noisy.....when I engage the wah, the background 'hum floor' is raised quite a lot.
Next up, some variety of Teese.......

I'm sorry to hear about that hum you're getting. I do not have that problem with my Budda. It has moved onto my board, and I used it live a week and a half ago, and it was absolutely perfect. No noise and sounded GREAT on the recording (which to me is the best test). I wonder if there isn't something fixable that's causing yours to do that. But I'm glad you like the wah. I've been through a few (2 Dunlop, 2 Teese, 2 Fulltone, Budda), and I'm sticking with the Bud.

I have an Area 51 and a Budda... I've owned an old crybaby and a vox.. Maybe I'm just very used to the Budda, but I prefered it over the area 51. The Area 51 is a great wah, especially if you use single coils and do the hendrix thing, but I don't do that. I don't use overdrives/od/fuzzes in general, I use an LP into a cranked Marshallish amp (and attenuate).. The Budda seems to do very well in that environment. It seems to retain note articulation better than the Area 51 (for what I do anyway, everyone is different). It seems to have a large sweep, which I like.. The Budda also does funk sounds very well, if that's a consideration.
I've also found that the Budda seems to have the least amount of hiss when it is first in the signal chain... anywhere else and it seemed to generate much more hiss. I don't use any fuzzes, so I have no idea how it reacts with a fuzz pedal.
I would love to try a picture wah and/or a WOF wah, but don't know if I
want to put out they money for them just to try them out.. I know I can re-sell them without too much loss, but don't know if it's worth the hassel to me (as I'm mostly happy with the Budda)
