I'm looking for a switcher that takes pedals in and out of the signal chain. I know Bradshaw and Cornish make these, but they seem pretty pricey. Voodoo Lab supposedly released one in March, but it doesn't seem to be available anywhere. Anyone know of other good pedal switching systems? Thanks!
ON EDIT - OK - found the Loopbone EFX Loop Controller. Looks interesting, but also looks like the buffer is always on -- don't think I want that (I've got dedicated buffer box if I need it). I'm interesting in hearing about what people have used that works/doesn't work.

Thanks very much, SVB -- very helpful. I checked out the huge racks forum and the CEO of Voodoo Lab just posted there TODAY saying they just shipped their first units.
The Radial Loopbone looks good too (though it's got fewer loops available than the Voodoo unit).
Will check more into the Axess piece, too. I've got an Axess BS-2, which I love, so I'm sure it's a good switcher.
Thanks! :BEER
Any other thoughts from anyone would be appreciated.

Gigrig Pro-14 (thegigrig.com)...for all the features it has, it's one of the best values out there.

That said, they can't do combinations, like say you want loop 1, 2 and 4 to be on at once
And why not?

Nope but, that doesn't mean that you couldn't put all three in one loop or, have a bypass switch to turn on all three at once by presetting the loops.
Either way, you're going to have to manually program an elaborate switcher to do that or, configure the pedals in such a way at the loop box that it will happen.
Limitations? I think it's a matter of two different things. Apples/oranges

Sound Sculpture Switchblade is what I would go with. It is a little expensive, but its features look awesome! I have been wanting to try one out for months now:puh
Anyone have one they want to get rid of?:crazy

example? gets too complicated and the increase in buttons use is questionable for such a specific need.
Simple. Place each one in its own loop. Use a model with a master bypass and turn the master bypass on. Turn those loops on and then when you're ready, turn off the master bypass. There you have it.
If you have an eight loop model for example, turn on the master bypass and then you'll have and almost unlimited amount of combinations you can pre-select while you play. ;)
The point I was originally trying to make is yes, you definitely can turn on combinations of pedals with a passive switcher.

I think any of those 2 would solve your problem.

What you need depends on how you want to take the pedals in and out. Loop Masters looks like a great product at a great price for a passive switcher. Seems every user is in love with it, and they will answer all your questions which bodes well for support if it's needed. If you want MIDI control, or want to program the loops for instant access to different combinations, you'll have to spend more money. I have a MIDI pedal, and will be buying a MIDI switchable amp, so will end up with the Axess product. All his users are in love with his products too. The Switchblade is too expensive, but would be the ultimate... Good luck.

I used one pedal for decades and then discovered the existance of passive loopers early this year. I have a 4 loop switch with master bypass and tuner out mute. It's so cool. Even though my pedals are true bypass, this keeps the most stuff possible out of my signal chain at any given time. It also gives me more controls right at the front of my pedal board where they are easiest to access. I wanted different overdrive options and this setup easily gives me 6 overdrive options and delay, all right at the front of my Pedaltrain Jr which is only a 2 foot board.

Cool -- so how many pedals are in your rig? Are some *not* on the Pedaltrain Jr?

this one seems easy, little dip switches to control each loops programing,as well as switch for each loop for it adding to the loop that is on already or switching to next loop of choice
this should solve all the problems......and its only 419 on ebay

The gigrig from what i have heard allows you to have 14 presets of different combinations of 12 (I think) different pedals... With lots of level control capabilities too...

GigRig Pro-14...14 presets, 10 loops, built in pre/post boosts, A/B switching of amplifiers, tuner out...you can even control your amps reverb/tremolo etc., AND for $100 extra they can add an option so you can have full MIDI capabilities. THEGIGRIG.COM

Wow, for some of these prices, I could hire someone to turn the pedals on and off for me.

I'm in the process of "building up". So far I have the 5 switch looper (1 = master bypass, 2 is A/B between loops 1 and 2, 3 is tuner out/mute and 4 is loop3 and 5 is loop 4) and and Box of Rock right in front. The BoR has two switches so I want it in front for access. I also have an AC Booster and Timmy that are always on and accessed with the looper and a Mofaux vibe. Coming I have an Analogman delay and a Carl Martin Delayla. I think I'll have room for both delays if I keep both. But that will basically max me out I think. The looper has a tuner out mute but for now I'm keeping my tuner off the board although I'm using the tuner out.
