Thanks. I'm just not really comfortable on guitar right now.I'm experimenting right now with different sounds and grooves. I need to try to balance my bass and guitar practicing 'cuz my guitar grooves are off. It's tough because I can never seem to get my bass playing, my funk playing, my blues playing and my jazz playing together at the same time. A couple times I've tried to just quit the heavy string jazz thing. Sometimes I think it'd be easier to not have to commit time to that.

supercool! more,... please!!!
I love that runs you do after the riffing in the beginning. I just bought the first sheets of sounds recently. as soon as I'll get my guitar back from the luthier I'll have to spend some quality time!
any recommandations where to start in your book to get some fluid runs ( I think theres a "seven steps to benson" chapter..?!)
later, lu

man that is some fine playing!! Love that 'bensonish' style, best part is you took some of his ideas and made them your own, great playing. What kind of rig are you playing through and did you lay down the back tracks?

The benson one is a good one. The long pat martino run is also excellent.

It's an eastman El Rey guitar for the solo, SRV strat with dimarzio area pickups for the rhythm, an Ibanez Willis on bass, all going through an axe-fx preamp. The drums were ezdrummer. Sorry about the drums. I've already taken a ton of flack over them...

Just don't go growing one of those silly pencil-thin moustaches, and I think you'll be alright. ;)

Great playing, BTW. :dude

I'd never done that but you should see how shiny my skin is after the laser peel. ;)

Still working on the bently collection though.

Those are some blazing runs :| Sounds good to me. I really like the Pat Metheny and Martino sections in SoS btw, since those are two of my fav jazz guitarists. I found those sections really helpful and fun

Between this and Dan Wilson, I'd sure hate to be Tag. :)

It's great to hear you play, Jack. Hope everything is well.
