Welcome to the board! Nanaimo was the spot the ferry from the mainland would bring us every summer for our trip up to the Telegraph Cove on the north end of the island. Great salmon fishing around those parts. I miss that place.

i love vancouver, love the beach at the end of the university, dig that tall observation tower downtown, especially loved the house where i stayed, which was converted into a b and b. best pillow mints ever! :rolleyes::crazy:BEER

Hi from the UK! Myself and the missus had a couple of weeks in Vancouver a year or two ago, had a few days on the island in the middle of it. Ferry into Nanaimo, then some time driving around the island (didn't go south of Nanaimo though, Victoria next time!) ultimately aimed at Heatley's place. What a beautiful part of the world you live in man, I hope to get back there soon indeed, hopefully next year.
