Hi Guys.
I got my hands on two EVM-10M's one is a series two, the other is not. One of them sounds a little less defined and harsher. I notice a pin sized hole in the center (is that the dust cap?) The center has a few dents in it and I'm guessing the previous owner tried to use the pin to go inside and push out the dents.

There may be a buzz in the speaker, I'm not sure, it vibrates just about everything in the room.

anyway,
how big of a deal is this?

If its a small puncture, its not a huge issue and can usually be patched if it is making noise. There are a few threads on the subject.

Now if its a 10" hole,, all bets are off :D

Edit: if its just a hole in the dust cover, 99.99% of the time it has no effect.

If it vibrates just about everything in the room, it's probably working perfectly!!

Just joking.

No, a wee pinhole won't make much difference.
