The other guitarist in our band uses a Vox AC30CC. He forgot his footswitch (dual reverb/tremolo) at last weekends gig and tried using a single footswitch with the stereo cable for his footswitch. As soon as he plugged it in the tremolo went on and stayed on regardless of footswitch position and now is on all the time with no footswitch connected. He connected the proper footswitch last night and it works fine, however the tremolo is still on all the time when no footswitch is connected. This makes no sense to me... does anyone understand this condition and have a possible cure for the poor creature?

I don't have the CC Vox anymore, but as I remember it both the reverb *and* tremelo are "on" without a footswitch (unlike vintage Fenders). To turn the tremelo off with the footswitch disconnected you need to turn the intensity all the way down (same with the reverb of course).

Ahh...so perhaps everything is as it should be. He seemed to think that using the wrong footswitch caused this to occur, but he probably never used it without the footswitch before. Thank you for your help.
