I've only played the combo versions. I like both, they each have their own things going for them. I ended up with the C30 as it was only $180 vs $599. Pretty much made my mind up for me.

Well they are both great amps for the money. Ive owned both combo versions.(Classic 30 /Palomino V32) It obviously will depend on your personal tastes. Best to listen to both thru a decnt cab and draw your own conclusions. That said my personal preference?-I sold my C30 and kept the Palomino. To my ears it just sounds better both clean and dirty. Plus the dirty channel (which I ues more than clean) is more flexible with a wider range of tones. To me its the best amp out there for the money...raving concluded....

Its always intersting to read these threads though as tone is so subjective and people seem adamant (myself included) about thier personal preferences. Im always raving about my Palomino! lol! Both combo versions benefit greatly from speaker and tube upgrades. In the case of the head versions tubes only. Both amps came loaded with crappy Sovteks. Bob
