This is a really nice bass rig. The tube driven Mesa Boogie Walkabout really allows you to shape your tone and sound great. Additionally the head is light and compact, it will fit in your backpack but still produce monster tone and volume. Check this link for nore specifics:

The speaker cabinets are made by Avatar. One has two 10 inch speakers and a horn and the other has one 15 inch speaker. The cabs sound excellent, are in great shape and are surprisingly light for their size.

Yup! The heads are great! Never trid the cabs though..... So maybe even, maybe talk em down a bit....

Yep michael, I had a Walkabout Scout that sounded better than any bass amp/cab combo that I've ever heard. I decided to focus on guitar so that bass and bass amp had to go. Someday I'll try again.

Definitely worth $800. The avatar bass cabs are pretty good from what others have stated on a respected bass forum.

The current owner is probably looking for more power and higher power handling cabs than he currently has.

300w for a bass rig isn't overkill by any stretch. Plus, the Walkabout is relatively new gear from Mesa. Only a couple of years old IIRC.
