Hello everybody,
I just posted my first thread in the gear page forum a few minutes ago. People from the Seymour Duncan and Bare Knuckles forum already heard from me.
I am trying to make my way as a guitarist and musician since my late teen about 12 years ago. I started to record a few compo on my own earlier this year which can be heard on my soundclick webpage. It is all work in progress but it will gives you a good idea of what kind of music turn me on. It took me 11 years before I managed to "write" something I actually enjoy hearing so it seems like all the training and information grabbing is starting to pay off.
After nearly ten years of playing the guitar (on and off actually) without worrying too much about tone and what my rig was made of, I started to play seriously again when I moved to Edinburgh 3 years ago. Since this move, I am trying to find my sound, always looking for ways to get a sound that suits me better, only restrained by money, or rather the lack of it.
So far I have only been playing Les Pauls (got 2 of them, an Epi and a Gibby), but am seriously thinking to become a telecaster player. That is my longer term gear project.
For the moment, I am just trying to make good with what I got, my 2 LPs, a Laney LC15R and a Demeter FOD-1 overdrive pedal.
While still hoping to form a band one day, that is where I am in my musician life :YinYang
