I've been playing guitar for 30 plus years and keys for 15. I'm just getting back to guitar from keys. I'm starting to increase my guitar collection. I currently have a Martin J-18, a Ovation MOB (bright blue, way cool), an old Fender Tele A/E (was the guy from the Rembrants playing a custom shop version and had to have one), two frankenStrats, one with hot rail hb's & the other one has the Clapton/Lace mods which I am currently repainting to look like the Harrison Rocky strat. I love the acoustic sound and picked up a Michael Kelly Hybrid Special - after playing the Ovation thing that costs 3 times as much. I strung it with acoustic strings and am very happy with it. I also just picked up two Dean Psychobilly's on ebay - love the paint, never played an archtop - other than a friend's original 345 with PAF's - back in the day.

Speaking of back in the day (I know - YAWN). When I was in school and playing in "new wave" bands, a friend had a music store. I had a 55 Broadcaster and a 57 Strat at the same time (my buddy, who dealt in vintage guitars, told me the broadcaster ended up with Jeff Beck-AHHHH, how cool am I). I'm wondering if I win the "kick me in the butt for selling them" award - (the 345 with PAF's could have been mine also, I just wasn't a Gibson man) ? I also had at various times a Jazzmaster, Jag, Ibanez George Benson and too many to remember.

I was the singer/rythem player (I didn't want to make it cry or sing). I wasn't much into amps but the best setup I ever played through was Bassman head with the dual 15 cab....or it might have been a showman (pretty similar). Anyway the amps I currently own are a Genz-Benz Shanendoah (sp) - stereo transistor for keys and acousitc, a Crate Vintage Club 30 - FOR SALE - because I just picked up a 1970's I think) Bassman 50 with master vol with the twin 15 cab! I'm looking around to see what exactly I have and what simple mods I might do to make it better.....take a sad song.......and make it better.....

Found this site and have learned a lot already.

Thanks.
