I've been eyeing up a Bacchus Duke in oil finish - stupid tax bills spoiling my GAS but only heard good things about Bacchus as a brand :RoCkIn

That looks cool and interesting.
I've always loved that body style, and I like the rosewood board with the Tele headstock.
What's interesting is the pickup placement, it looks forward of the traditional P/Tele placement.

I thought so too, at first. I think it's an illusion - the Japanese tend to take a LOT of pains in their replicas (though the RW board is an usual touch - maybe a custom order?).
Bacchus makes great guitars. Diviser is a parent company. I went to their factory once. Great people. I have Momose jazz bass. great bass.

I recently scored a fretless Bacchus J. It's one of the nicest Js I've ever played, and a ridiculously good deal considering what the same level of quality costs here.

That's great! Yes, they are making great quality guitars and basses.

+1. It seems odd that they have used a rosewood fingerboard, a shame really.

My guess is it was a custom order.
