How much gain, not distortion, does a Marshall plexi preamp deliver in db's with the volume at 10?

The answer isn't as straightforward as you might hope. The short answer is that the theoretical midband voltage gain from the preamp into the tone stack is about 59dB. Gain post tone stack (still part of the preamp) is frequency dependent and depends on how the tone controls are set. Too, I doubt you'll ever see the 59dB due to distortion/clipping.
