I just finished a Hoffman board retrofit (including cap board) on a '96 DRRI. Also, I installed all MM iron (except the reverb tranny), ceramic sockets, new switches, the works. This design uses the brown Vibroverb trem circuit, not the opto circuit. Since the photo was taken I put a Mallory .01uf/1meg resistor mod on pin 1 of the normal channel for a little bit of variety. I may even change the normal channel tone stack to the Marshall values later on. I'm going to put a Scumback H75 in it soon, but it's got a Celestion Alnico Blue in there now. Dang this amp sounds good and the trannies aren't even broken in yet!

I have one that was done by Winnie Thomas in Vermont. Channel 1 is a tweedy circuit while channel 2 is all blackface. The tremolo circuit was cut and replaced by a mid and presence circuits. The amp is going up for sale later today. I like it alot and have gigged with it for 4 years, but I just got a Mark IV and this must go.

One thing.....your power cord looks to be tie-wrapped to the primairy line feeding the PT.
If your heyco gets yanked out [hey...it happens], you'll probablly yank the winding lead right out of the PT, turning a simple fix into an expensive fix.
I'd dress up the power cord a bit.

Good point! I'll get to work on that right away. Thanks for seeing that.
Sheesh, that amp couldn't possibly sound any good, too much coupling among the parallel and bundled wires leading to and from the pots. You need to throw some spaghetti wiring in there, or better yet, just send the amp to me . . . [note tongue in cheek].
