Ok, I'm not 40 yet, but I'm pretty sure anything over 30 makes you eligible for the Senior Citizen discount at the Rock and Roll Denny's.

This is my first-ever post.

I’ve got an ’81 Tokai Goldstar, an ’86 Les Paul Custom, and an ’85 MIJ Squier Strat.

I’ve yet to buy a brand-new car, but I just got my first brand-new guitar… a Reverend Manta Ray HB FM. Got a mid 70’s Fender Champ at home and a reissue ’65 Twin Reverb at the practice spot.

The Twin Cities have been and still are great scenes for original music. These days, I’m content playing classic rock covers with a post-punk attitude in an all over-30 band. Can appreciate the greatness in all truly unique players, from Keef to EVH to Kurt Cobain.

Hello everyone!

Heya!

I myself am an aged MPLS/SP rocker (I'm 32). I'm still at it. In fact I have a gig at Station 4 tomorrow. You know - you can't stop the rock. If it's in your soul, you just gotta keep going even if you no longer appeal to the "target market".

Welcome to TGP. I used to live & play music full time in the Cities myself, but that was the 80s and I was in my 20s. Hey, I'm a really old fart!

Thanks for the welcome, everyone -- much appreciated. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to get in a game of shuffleboard before "Matlock" comes on.

I checked out www.area-52.org (http://www.area-52.org/) and the page took forever to load, and gave me a blank white screen, twice...lol

Hi there! I am born and raised Twin Citian, nearing 40 myself. Old, is like over 100 to me. I do music stuff pretty much full time here, but it's gotten harder in the past few years. Almost makes me want to be a DJ. :FM
