I just put in new tubes in my Budda superdrive II 18 watt 1x12 - New Mullards (new production) and new sovetks for the preamp
I let the amp run for about 2 hours (with me guitar connected) and it seemed to get unusually hot. the Mullards #'s are around 42. what's up?

If it's not a self biasing amp it needs to be biased. If it IS a self biasing amp read this. http://www.kcanostubes.com/categories/32/1/6BQ5-EL84-7189A.htm
