with the need to twist the bridge sections that the strings sit upon, hows the intonation with those guitars ?
Stunning craftmanship on show throughout this thread.

Very Nice! My Two Detemple's are scheduled for Delivery in September 08....Its Killing me!
I got a 52 w/ See thru-white body, and a 56 in Pablo Blue w/ tinted neck.
I was going to get a Black guard' but after seeing the White, I think it looks classy on the see-thru white body.
Its been very hard waiting, but looking forward to opening that case for the first time.
Thanks for sharing it with us. I hope those anti-Detemple morans don't hi-jack this thread as usual.

I wonder if that's the same Morans (Patty and Jimmy) that live down the street from me? Pretty sure they don't go to de Temple as they are Irish Catholics.
At any rate, beautiful guitars one and all! I'm not one for long waits, but I'm thinkin' it may be worth it for a De Temple!

but has now almost turned into a butterscotch (the Vinetto is as Blond as I remember the DeTemple):

No Joe, it's how it is! It kind of hit me how much it turned 'butterscotch' when I got the Vinetto and dug up the original photo's of the DeTemple. Also, you can clearly see the original Blonde colour in the tremolo cavity which makes me conclude that it is the clear coat that has yellowed. I read somewhere that the original Broadcaster/Tele's were blonde and that it was the clear coat they use back then caused the colour to turn, not sure how true this is.

I found them while digging around on the DeTemple site...sounds like maybe he has them custom made? He charges $140 for a set...that's pretty steep, but they sure would look sweet on the tele I'm planning on building soon.
Any idea if the inline 6 set is available anywhere besides DeTemple? I've looked around, but they are sure tough to find if they are out there!
Thanks!

So is that three DT teles now? Can you shed any light on the differences and or similarities. Are they consistent in tone and feel, or is there quite a vairiance?

I have only two the blonde & the butter scotch
the blonde one has a some nice snap to it ,it really rocks
while the BS has a smoother tone
both have a very even tone & balance
the Blonde has a big V neck
the BS has a middle soft V which I like better

That's a damn nice burst ya had there Mac! I've had my Blonde '52 for a little over a year now and it just kills any other T style I put my hands on....I took it over to Atlanta Discount a few months ago and put it up against a few Nash T syles and the difference in sound and playability was miles apart from one another, and that's not just me speaking here, everybody else was in total agreement. The DeTemple just sounded more refined, smooth and balanced than the Nash T's. I'm not knocking the Nash stuff, they have their own good thing goin' on.....but when you play a DeTemple you just can't deny the quality of craftsmanship these guitars have in them. No wonder we never see them for sale anywhere! What a treasure to have and play one of these indeed....BTW, the Nash stuff is 1/4 the cost of a DeTemple but they are worth what you pay for them, great guitars for the price.....just not in the same league.

why on earth does a guitar take over a year? That kinda blows my mind. Is it the sheer fact of a waiting list, or is he super slow?
